Finishing Operator - 2nd and 3rd Shift
SUMMARY: Safely and efficiently operate machines and use hand tools and equipment for removing sand cores and excess metal from castings. May load a CNC machine and/or operate a leak test machine when necessary. May also cross train into other post molding functions when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Safely and correctly load, unload and operate knock out machine and sawsSafely remove excess sand and metal per the work instructionsAccurately identify casting defects to ensure compliance with the standardOperate Leak Test and/or CNC when neededAbility to do all job functions as outlined by the Functional Job AnalysisFollow written and verbal instructions Safely utilize hand tools and other required equipment
Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Education and/or Experience Expected:High School Diploma or G.E.D requiredMust pass ATEK Knock Out/ Saw Training to become a Certified Knock Out / Saw OperatorMust pass ATEK Functional Job Analysis and Pre- Employment Drug Screen for Finishing Position
Preferred:Prior experience in manufacturingNational Career Readiness Certificate Preferred.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
Frequent exposure to foundry like environment (high heat, dust, etc.)
