SUMMARY: Positively support all Human Resources functions including administrative functions, employee relations, benefits, and staffing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Positive Employee Relations: Serve as a resource for management and an advocate for employees in building and maintaining a highly productive, respectful, and professional work environment. Serve as a resource and positive problem solving partner in addressing and resolving employee concerns. Provide support, guidance, and training to supervisors on human resources matters. Serve as a resource for supervisors and employees for matters involving benefits, compensation and company policies and procedures.                                              

Safety: Assist with workers’ compensation claim management including claim reporting, accident investigation, return to work programs and accident prevention initiatives. Team with Director of HR and operations supervisors to create safe and positive work environment by developing, implementing and maintaining safety programs to ensure adherence to company policies and local, state and federal regulations.

Recruitment and Selection: Proactively support the sourcing and selection of top talent for each group in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. Participate in the planning, tracking, and reporting related to talent acquisition processes and results.

Compensation Administration: Coordinate bi-weekly payroll transactions. Team with employees, supervisors and the payroll department to address any payroll related issues and ensure all are dealt with in a timely manner.  Analyze survey data, assemble reports, and participate in the design and development of market pricing processes.

Benefits Administration: Responsible for assisting the Director of HR in various projects including new hire enrollment and Open Enrollment

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

  • Reports to: Director, HR

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience Expected: 

  • BA in HR, Business or related field
  • 3-5 years of human resources experience

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
  • Must establish and maintain high levels of responsiveness and credibility with employee
  • Must be able to drive excellent results while maintaining positive and effective relationships with peers and subordinates

Working Conditions:

  • Works in climate controlled office 80% of time.  Will have regular exposure to foundry environment including: dust, heat, fumes and noise.
